Lacrimal punctum. Macroscopic footage showing the lower eyelid of a healthy human eye being pulled down to show the lacrimal punctum (small hole, centre). The lacrimal punctum is an opening leading to the tear duct, which drains tears from the eye into the nasal cavity. There are two lacrimal puncta, one on the lower eyelid and one on the upper eyelid, located near the inner corner (medial canthus) of the eye.
