WD-40. Spray can containing WD-40. WD-40 is a penetrating oil and water dispersant that is commonly used to drive out moisture from areas of application, such as vehicle electrical systems. It is also effective as a lightweight lubricant and a penetrating oil to ease rusted parts, as well as a solvent to remove sticky residues.
