Ynthetic crystals of nickel ammonium sulphate (NiSO4(NH4)2.6H2O) Such crystals are made by precipitation from a solution of nickel in sulphuric acid. In this example the crystal precipitate is realized on a rock subsurface to suggest a natural origin of the crystals. Actual width of sample is 230 mm.
