Timelapse footage of a fertilised pear flower (Pyrus sp.) developing into a fruit. Pear trees flower in early spring, and are pollinated by insects. Once pollinated, the ovaries of the flower swell to form the familiar fruit. Cropped from 4288x2848 pixels. See clip K004 5682 for a version with aspect ratio 4:3.
