Timelapse footage of a pear flower opening. Pears (Pyrus sp.) blossom in spring. The white petals open to reveal the stamens, with their pollen-bearing anthers (pink). The flowers are pollinated by insects, with each pollinated flower developing into a pear fruit by the autumn. Cropped from 4288x2848 pixels. See clip K004 5679 for a version with aspect ratio 4:3.
