Timelapse footage of a white water lily flower closing and opening. Water lilies (Nymphaeaceae) are aquatic plants widely grown in ponds and lakes for their showy flowers. The flowers open during the day in sunlight, and close in the late afternoon. The flowers may also close in heavy rain. If the day is particularly gloomy, the flower may not open at all. Cropped from 3872x2592 pixels. See clip K003 5181 for a version with aspect ratio 4:3.
