Southern masked weaver, or African masked weaver (Ploceus velatus). This bird is common throughout Southern Africa, inhabiting a wide range of habitats. This female weaver is bathing, which helps to clean the skin and remove parasites such as bird lice. It also serves to smooth and repair the feathers. Filmed in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
