The danger of ebola. The ebola virus infects humans through direct contact with body fluids or the blood of a sick person, animal or contact with contaminated objects. Signs and symptoms which typically start between two days and three weeks after contracting the ebola virus disease (EVD) include complications in the Lungs/pharynx, stomach, skin, joints, and intestines. The virus eventually leads to haemorrhage and organ failure. Ebola results in death among 90% of its victims.
