Imidacloprid is a systemic insecticide which acts as an insect neurotoxin and belongs to a class of chemicals called the neonicotinoids. Neonicotinoids act on the central nervous system of insects. Their use has been implicated in massive die offs of bees and birds. Black=carbon, white=hydrogen, red=oxygen, blue=nitrogen.
