Zinc carbonate precipitate. Sodium carbonate is added to a test tube containing zinc sulfate. Both solutions are 0.5 M concentration. Zinc carbonate precipitate is formed as a result: ZnSO4 + Na2CO3 -> ZnCO3 + Na2SO4. This is an example of a double displacement reaction.
