Seals on the beach by Stromness Whaling Station, on South Georgia in the South Atlantic Ocean. This station was operational until 1961. This was the place that Sir Ernest Shackleton reached after his epic open-boat sea crossing and trek across South Georgia, after his ship Endurance was sunk by ice.
