Snowflake that is growing on two distinct layers, with a growth pattern that is identified as a skeletal form with ridges connecting the two plates. One of the less common snowflake structures. Specimen measures 2.1mm across the longest diameter, and the image would print with a magnification of 40x when printed 10cm across. Focus-stacking was used to composite multiple images together for a greater depth of field and the subject is photographed on a black woollen background.
