Cauliflower corals (Latin name Pocillopora) are a genus of stony corals that are indigenous to the tropical waters of the Pacific and Indian oceans. They form colonies in the form of dense mounts or more open, branched forms depending on the water depth that can vary from the shallow wave zone to calmer waters farther out.
