Oysters (Crassostrea sp.) covered in oil in the wetlands on the shores of Barataria Bay contaminated by BP oil well that spill millions of gallons into the Gulf Of Mexico. During a low-tide with Northern winds, the damage to the marshlands was exposed. The death of the marsh grass in Louisiana's wetlands will lead to increased coastal erosion, an environmental issue facing the state before the BP oil disaster.
