Caption

Eggs of various sizes. The largest and first on the left is from the extinct elephant bird, Aepyornis maximus. Second from the left is from the sauropod dinosaur, Ampelosaurus atacis. The third egg is from a therapod dinosaur, Oviraptor philoceratops. The smallest is from an existing species of bird, the osprey, Pandion haliaetus.
