Bradley Merrill Patten and Theodore C. Kramer, American embryologists, setting up recording equipment over a microscope. Pattern was Chair of the Department of Anatomy at the University of Michigan, USA, between 1936 and his retirement in 1959. He is best known for two textbooks 'Human embryology' and 'The Foundations of Embryology'. While at Yale in 1924 Kramer produced the first embryology footage showing a developing salamander embryo.
