Fermentation experiment. Animation 1 of 4, showing the first stages in an experiment to show that anaerobic fermentation produces carbon dioxide gas. This animation shows the sugar glucose (white) and yeast (brown) being added to water in a conical flask. Yeast fermentation is used in the production of foods and beverages such as bread and beer.
