Penicillium purpurogenum. Timelapse footage of a growing colony of the fungus Penicillium purpurogenum. Mycelial threads (white) spread out from the centre of the colony. As the fungus matures, fruiting bodies containing spores (yellow green), the reproductive cells of the fungus, develop. This fungus is a pathogen of strawberry plants.
