The Irish Sea Serpent of Kilkee. News illustration from The Days' Doings - an illustrated newspaper. The accompanying story described how a "party of strangers staying at Kilkee, composed of several ladies and some gentlemen - one of whom is a well-known clergyman in the north of Ireland" had been out at the Diamond Rocks. The "Irish Loch Ness Monster" had previously been seen sunning itself in the same area in 1850.
