Caption

Samples of organic materals for radiocarbon dating reduced to carbon, in the form of graphite. The graphite will be formed into pellets and the atomes of the carbon-14 isotope will be isolated and counted in an Accelerator Mass Spectrometer (AMS) to indicate a date for the original sample.
