Butanol, molecular model. This is the n-butanol form of this alcohol, with the hydroxide group (oxygen and hydrogen atoms) in the primary position. It is also an intermediate product in industry, being used to make more complex chemicals. The model shows the atoms (spheres) connected by bonds (rods). The atoms are colour-coded: carbon (black), oxygen (red), and hydrogen (white).
