Caption

A small fly (Sepsis fulgans) sometimes called the lesser dung fly resting on the tip of a grass blade. These flies have the appearance of an ant and are a similar size, they are generally considered to be scavengers and play an important part in cleaning up in nature. Photographed in Somerset UK in July.
