The Space Shuttle Columbia hangs vertically above the Vehicle Assembly Building floor during the morning's operation to lift it from the transfer aisle into High Bay 3, where it will be mated with the solid rocket boosters and external tank for STS-2. STS-2 was the second NASA Space Shuttle Mission, and the second flight of the Columbia, launching on November 12, 1981 and landing November 14. Kennedy Space Center, Florida, August 10, 1981.
