MiG-9 fighter plane. The MiG-9 was the first turbojet fighter developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich (Russian aircraft design bureau) immediately after World War II. It was moderately successful, but suffered from persistent engine problems when firing its guns at high altitudes. It was superseded by the MiG-15.
