Common warthogs (Phacochoerus africanus) drinking. Male (right), female (left) and two young common warthogs (centre) at a watering hole. This wild member of the pig family is found in grassland, savannah, and woodland in sub-Saharan Africa. It is omnivorous, feeding on grasses, roots, berries and other fruits, bark, fungi, insects, eggs and carrion. Photographed in Zimanga Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
