White blood cell, 3D fluorescence deconvolution micrograph. Stacked images of a lymphocyte white blood cell, showing the enzyme PL-alpha (green) around the nucleus (blue) of the cell. PL-alpha is a protein kinase. Kinases are known to regulate the majority of cellular pathways through phosphorylation of the proteins involved. PL-alpha is one of a number of kinases associated with lymphocyte migration. Magnification: x900 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
