Mature beech trees (Fagus sylvatica) beside a road. This famous avenue is situated at Badbury Rings, on the Kingston Lacy estate, in Wimborne, Dorset, UK. The trees are reputed to have been planted in 1835. Photographed in May. For the same row of trees in winter, see image B601/0730.
