Muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus). This large, semi-aquatic rodent is native to North America's wetlands but is also found as an introduced species in parts of Europe, Asia, and South America. It is most active at night or near dawn and dusk, feeding on cattails and other aquatic vegetation. Photographed in northern France.
