Owen Holmes 'Newberry' orchid hybrid flower, from the nothogenus Rhyncholaeliocattleya. Like most orchids, each flower has a lip-shaped labellum, a specialised petal that attracts pollinators. There are more than 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
