General anaesthesia ventilation. Nurse anaesthetist (CRNA) connecting anaesthesia ventilator tubing to an endotracheal tube that has been placed in the patient's trachea (airway). These tubes will be used to ventilate the patient's lungs during general anaesthesia, where a patient is rendered unconscious to allow major surgery to be performed.
