Gas analysis calibration. Illustration of a calibration gas generator, a device that is used to generate known concentrations of various gases and liquid vapours. This is then used to calibrate gas sensors and analysers that are used in areas such as air pollution monitoring, gas leak detection, and laboratory research in various industries. The type of calibration gas generator shown here (lower right) is a Model 230 Dynacalibrator from VICI Metronics. At upper right is a mass flow controller (an EL-Flow from Bronkhorst). The sample injection system is at upper left.
