Leaf-cutter ants (Atta sp.) at the entrance to their nest, dropping excavated debris to the forest floor. These ants excavate large underground chambers, in which they grow a specific fungus on sections of leaves that they cut from nearby plants. Filmed in Rio Bigal, Ecuador.
