Molluscum epitheliale (molluscum contagiosum, Figs. Fig. Molluscum contagiosum is a contagious but harmless viral infection causing papules on the skin. Senile warts are caused by over-production of keratin, and are found mainly on the trunk, usually in elderly patients. From Atlas of Venereal and Skin Diseases by Prince Albert Morrow, published in 1889.
