Hyaluronic acid. Molecular model of two units of the glycosaminoglycan polymer hyaluronic acid (C14.H21.N.O11), also known as hyaluronan. A polymer of disaccharides, it is an important component of articular cartilage and of skin, where it is involved in tissue repair.
