Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide. Molecular model of the organic peroxide methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP, C8.H18.O6), a high explosive similar to acetone peroxide. It is also used as a catalyst to initiate the polymerization of polyester resins. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white) and oxygen (red).
