Ethylene oxide. Molecular model of the cyclic ether ethylene oxide (C2.H4.O), also known as oxirane. This organic compound is a colourless flammable gas. It is used in the chemical industry for the synthesis of ethylene glycols. It is the simplest example of an epoxide.
