Eugenol. Molecular model of the phenylpropene chemical eugenol (C10.H12.O2). This is a pale yellow oily liquid extracted from certain essential oils, especially from clove oil, nutmeg, cinnamon, basil and bay leaves. It is used in perfumes and as a flavouring.
