Hydrofluoric acid. Molecular model of the halide and mineral acid hydrofluoric acid (HF). This is a highly corrosive acid capable of dissolving many materials. It is used in the chemical industry as a precursor to numerous pharmaceuticals and the polymer PTFE (Teflon).
