Varroa jacobsoni mites. These are relatively harmless parasites of Asian honey bees (Apis cerana). It used to be thought that they were the cause of varroatosis, a parasitic disease that plagues Western honey bees (Apis mellifera). But this is now known to be caused by Varroa destructor.
