President Kennedy's visit to Houston. Footage of US President John F. Kennedy travelling by motor car, greeted by cheering crowds in the streets during his visit to Houston, Texas, USA, on 12 September 1962. Kennedy was in Houston as part of a tour of several newly established space centres. While in Houston, he made a famous speech ('We choose to go to the Moon') at Rice University's Rice Stadium, and also visited the Manned Spacecraft Center (later renamed the Johnson Space Center).
