Genital warts and lesion on the tip of a patient's penis. Genital warts (Condylomata acuminata) is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). It manifests as bumps or warts on the genitalia and the surrounding regions. Treatment is either with chemicals that are applied directly to the warts or cryotherapy, which kills the warts by freezing them with liquid nitrogen.
