Caption

Octopus. The octopus (order Octopoda) is a cephalopod molluscs, a type of marine invertebrate. Here, the underside of the octopus is seen, with eight tentacles forming a ring around its mouth (centre right). The suckers on the underside of the tentacles are used to grasp prey when hunting, and to manipulate objects. The suckers also have chemoreceptors that allow an octopus to taste what it is touching.
