Narrowed iliac artery. Coloured angiogram (blood vessel X-ray) of the abdominal aorta and the iliac and femoral arteries in a 70-year-old man. The injected contrast medium (white) has revealed a narrowing (stenosis) of the left internal iliac artery (at right). The stenosis is seen at centre right. This patient also has an aneurysm of the abdominal aorta in the region near the kidneys. The stenosis is caused by atheromatous deposits inside the arteries.
