Eve is the name for the drug 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-ethyl- amphetamine (MDEA, formula: C12.H17.N.O2). The atoms are shown as spheres, and are colour-coded: carbon (black), hydrogen (grey), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red). Ecstasy drugs produce elation and an easy intoxication. Adverse effects include dehydration and difficulty focusing. Ecstasy is a drug of the 1990's. Some studies suggest that prolonged heavy use can cause brain damage, and some deaths have occurred.
