Shoulder tendon disorder. Coronal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the right shoulder of a 36-year-old man with what is thought to be a lesion on a tendon in the capsule of the shoulder joint (the glenohumeral joint). The head of the humerus (upper arm bone) is encased in soft tissues such as ligaments, tendons and muscles, and fits into the socket in the shoulder joint.
