Nora's Spiny Chest Frog, Alsodes norae, is known from Chile's coastal temperate rainforests. Much of the habitat of this species has been converted to agriculture. Note the spines on the chest of the male. These kerotonized structures help the male hold onto the female during the reproductive process. This individual was photographed in Oncol National Park, Los Rios, Chile, 2014.
