Caption

A Marianas flying fox (Pteropus mariannus) feeding on the fruit of a fagot tree (Neisosperma oppositifolia) on the Island of Guam. Flying foxes are the primary dispersers of large fruits on Pacific Islands. When large populations of flying foxes are present, fruits are carried away before being eaten. The Marianas flying fox is an endangered species, primarily due to human consumption.
