Artillery Fungus or Shotgun Fungus (Sphaerobolus sp.). Yellow mounded or spreading slime-like fungus. Known for the dispersal of its spores by bursting open. This example is extremely small. Examples of several feet in size exist. Common around southern homes with damp grounds. Saint Petersburg, Florida. August.
