Leukaemia cancer cells. Fluorescence light micrograph of cells from a type of blood cancer, an acute form of leukaemia. The cells are stained for cell nuclei (DNA, pink). Leukaemia affects the bone marrow and results in high numbers of abnormal white blood cells. This is a human form of the disease, with this culture known as cell line K562.
