Haemangioma. Close-up of a haemangioma on the neck of a 6-month-old girl. Haemangiomas are benign (non-cancerous) tumours arising from the endothelial cells that line blood vessels. They are characterised by an increased number of normal or abnormal vessels filled with blood. Infantile hemangioma (IH) is one of the most common benign tumours of infancy.
